Junior Financial Controller
Due to the responsibility for the reports of various foreign entities, the Junior Financial Controller is the direct point of contact for the local administrations.
Responsibilities
Independently providing reliable and relevant information (financial and non-financial) to the organization by:
- Timely processing and delivery of annual & periodical financial statements (monthly closure);
- Timely processing and delivery of periodical figures, forecasts, management reports and risk reports;
- General performance of Finance & Control including all financial departments in the group.
Independently ensuring reliable and relevant information (financial and non-financial) to the organization, by an adequate functioning of:
- Administrative processes / accounting information system;
- Internal control system;
- Risk management system;
- IT governance.
General:
- In case of absence of colleagues, supporting of the NL financial administration;
- Works in close cooperation with international financial administration departments of subsidiaries.
Tasks
Performance Management:
- Collects and structures relevant data and prepares various (financial) reports;
- Prepares (parts) of budget, forecast and management reports
- Supports planning and control cycle for establishment of objectives, budgets and forecast;
- Independently providing of periodical management reports of the group’s entities;
- Provides and presents ad hoc analysis on request;
- Consults financial colleagues from various foreign entities.
Finance Operations & Reporting:
- Independent closure of the periodical accounting procedures of the financial administrations for the group’s entities;
- Prepares the periodical closure procedures of all international subsidiaries;
- Reviews ledger accounts and related sub-ledgers, including all reconciliations and compositions
- Reconciling intercompany balances (signal and resolve differences in balances);
- Independent with the preparation of (consolidated) financial statements.
Supports with assessing and executing the company’s insurance portfolio.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related economics;
- Minimum of 2-5 years experience in one or more equal position(s);
- Experience in an (international) production environment:
- Excellent knowledge of accounting;
- Good knowledge of the Dutch and English languages, both verbally and in writing;
- Proven experience with ERP-systems and with strong skills if MS Excel.
